Beanshed Creative

Beanshed Creative is a community based arts group, supported by CDANI with its aligned aims of furthering creative opportunities for the Norfolk Island community. Beanshed Creative offers a creative space for adults each Monday night during school terms to pursue their art making in the 'Beanshed' art room at the school. 

An open studio space is offered including use of the facilities such as printing press, pottery wheel and easels. Workshops are also offered as arranged, led by local artists. Every week Beanshed Creative provides the time and space for adults to practice their chosen art form, with regular attendance by plaiters, weavers, printmakers, potters, painters and more. They encourage beginners to established artists to participate.  

Recently, an extension to the use of the space began with Beanshed Creative Language. Over four weeks introductory classes have been held in Norf'k, Spanish and Italian with other languages to come.
