Film Nights
The Cultural Development Association of Norfolk Island (CDANI) presents outdoor movie nights during summer and indoor film nights throughout winter, usually once a month. Our aim is to bring a diverse range of films to both Norfolk Islanders and visitors in a unique and welcoming setting.
During summer, our outdoor cinema is held at the New Military Barracks on Norfolk Island, with the barracks wall creating a spectacular backdrop for the feature film. Movies vary from month to month and cater for audiences of all ages, from children through to adults.
The cost per adult, includes annual CDANI membership and free entry to all remaining movie nights for the rest of the year.
Guests are encouraged to bring picnic rugs, folding chairs, and their own supper to enjoy during the film. CDANI also usually offers a sweet treats stall and raffle on the night.
In winter, screenings move indoors to the old SDA Church Hall, thanks to the generosity of owners Sue and Tracey.
Keep an eye out for advertisements on the Norfolk Noticeboard, in The Norfolk Islander newspaper, and on posters displayed in various local stores promoting upcoming films.
